Giacomo Angnello Modica grew up drawing and attended the ‘S. Weil’ Art High School in Treviglio, in the province of Bergamo. He completed his training in Milan, following courses in Editorial Illustration at Mimaster and Graphic and Motion Design at Bauer. He soon found work with several publishing houses, and two illustrated albums appeared in 2019 for the Perugia-based publishers Edizioni Corsare: the first, written by leading children’s author Gabriele Clima, the second, Giacomo’s personal tribute to his niece Anita. He is currently working on a story by Mirco Zilio for Uovonero, and for the Florence-based publisher Rrose Selavy, he is working with Andrea Satta. Giacomo’s work is in demand for the covers of major publishing houses. He has a particular love of portraiture, which he exploits professionally for magazines and private commissions.
