Holly Ovenden
Holly Ovenden is a London-based freelance designer & illustrator, specialising in book covers. She has recently been shortlisted for Designer of the Year, at the The British Book Awards (2021).
Before going freelance, Holly designed book covers in-house at Penguin General, a division of Penguin Random House UK. Here she designed two consecutive Booker-Prize shortlisted novels 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in this Strange World by Elif Shafak (2019) and Burnt Sugar by Avni Doshi (2020). Prior to PRH, Holly worked as an in-house designer at Bloomsbury Publishing.
