Reggio Emilia, 1990
Chiara Ficarelli received no formal artistic training. She graduated in Primary Education Sciences and worked in nursery schools while, however, cultivating her great passion for illustration and books for young children. In 2017, she decided to enrol in the Ars in Fabula course and follow a new profession. This led to her debut work on the great Russian writer Lev Tolstoy, published by Orecchio Acerbo. Chiara draws for various magazines and organises meetings with young artists. Her works have been published also by Pulce Edizioni as well as Orecchio Acerbo. A tireless worker, she has self-published two illustrated recipe books, organises on-line workshops with schools, and collaborates as a tutor-teacher with Ars in Fabula, the school where she received her first art training. Chiara was selected for the Illustrators' Exhibition at the Valencia "Babakamo" festival.
