Genoa, 1991
Alice Piaggio attended the Genoa Academy of Fine Arts, and in 2007 was selected for the ISIA Illustration course in Urbino. She is co-founder of "Pelo magazine", an irreverent humorous publication dealing with a different theme each issue - the last was on fake news - developed by several illustrators and writers. In 2019, Alice’s work as an illustrator won the "Illustri" Award, a national prize given by AIAP-Italian Association for the Design of Visual Communication. In 2020, she published her first work as an author-illustrator as part of the new "participatory" project with publishers Risma, a community enterprise proposing new works as well as forgotten greats, such as Le Avventure di Fiammiferino by the emminent journalist Luigi Barzini.
