Henrique Coser Moreira

This award aims to discover and support new talents in illustration. It is reserved for the winning artists under 35 of the Illustrators Exhibition, and provides a grant to allow the artist to develop a picture book, which is published by the Spanish publisher SM. 

This year’s fair presents the exhibitions of the 2024 winner: 
Henrique Moreira (Brazil)

Henrique is 26 years old, Illustrator, graduated in Graphic Design. Henrique is very Interested in exploring how to communicate stories with illustrations, specially working with silent books. 

La danza del cielo y la tierra, SM, Madrid, 2025
This Silent Book is inspired by the ritual dance of "suspending the sky" from the Brazilian indigenous Krenak ethnicity, whose purpose is to restore harmony between humans and nature. Through his seemingly simple illustrations, Henrique Coser Moreira tells the story of alienated, isolated people who are prisoners of a polluted world. Thanks to nature, they regain their individuality and the joy of living, fostering camaraderie among themselves and uniting with nature, which is reborn along with them.
